I apologize if I've said this here before, but what we're living through is hostile takeover of America by a new State/Church ruling coalition (and just about every society is ruled by some combo of State & Church).
In this case it's the shotgun marriage of the global corporate state with the pious priesthood of the New Left. The catalyst for all this of course is the terrible existential shock experienced in 2016 by the corporatists: just when they had almost total control of the planet, those pesky old whiteys in Britain and America voted for Brexit and Trump. How dare they! They took this as an injury and a personal insult, and vowed revenge upon their enemies.
The next step was a corporate acquisition of the New Left, and what was acquired was access to the New Left's proprietary superweapon: the Bigotry Accusation. The New Left has spent the last half-century building an arsenal of poisoned darts, all dipped in historical guilt and shame, and this was their chance to finally hit the big time: a massive infusion of cash and jobs, complete control of hiring in academia, and commissars in every sphere of life, from hospitals to Hollywood casting, ensuring that their dogma comes baked into every product.
At first glance it may seem counterintuitive for greedy corporatists who worship Mammon and "Leftists" who worship Marx to make a good couple, but political coalitions are often based on shared enemies, and both the Marxists and Mammonites passionately hate 1776 America, hate its traditions, its Constitution, its people—the Left because their goal is top-down "socialism" overseen by their cadre of power-hungry philosopher-kings, the Corporatists because they are opposed to nation-states, as they want a one-world market w citizens transformed into peons—and so they have joined together and have more or less locked in power throughout the Anglosphere.
Social Justice is simply the new official State religion of America and its corporate overclass, and we are much closer to the beginning of their reign than to the end.

Never in my wildest nightmares did I think wokeness would go so far. I blame Obama and his ilk. Wokeness is a scourge upon society that must be stopped at all costs.

The best example of successful resistance seems to be the school boards around the country where rational people ran and won, displacing the nuts. A good model for activism, it seems.
Great article! I know somebody who works at a college, where all 'training' is supposed to be recorded and uploaded for further instruction. When I asked for the link to the racial training she was forced to endure -- wouldn't you know it? -- that video is private "so people can be their authentic selves".
I guess telling your workforce it is racist because of the color of their skin doesn't even sit well with the true believers.

Looking at only one aspect of wokeness, the obsession with transsexualism, I'm honestly befuddled, baffled and bewildered. The phenomenon is real, but incredibly rare. These people are internally riven, face hostility in society at large and typically do not raise their transsexual status in casual conversation. The acronym LGBT makes no sense. The first three are sexual orientations, while the last is a completely separate phenomenon, gender identification. The only transsexual I ever wittingly knew had been a man who had sex with women and transitioned to a woman who had sex with women. There is also no scientific basis for clusters of transsexuals. There are no reliable data outside North America and the EU. The incidence is approximately 0.4% in North America and 0.3% in the EU. The two are approximately the same population, yielding a global average of 0.35%. For comparison, that is well below one quarter the number of flat earthers. We try to educate and help flat-earthers advance to the 15th century; why can't we adopt the same approach with transsexuals?
Cards on the table: During the one year I practiced psychiatry in Europe I saw few child patients; I do not recall more than two or three who expressed gender dysphoria. My response was to help them develop coping mechanisms, and I would not ever offer medical intervention. The body is awash in hormones during adolescence, creating angst and confusion enough without puberty blockers, whose long-term effects are unknown. Surgical intervention at an age where the human animal is trying to figure out what species it is strikes me as aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
We should hold hands with the few transsexuals among us as we accompany them on their adventure called life. We don't have to turn our entire society on its head to do so.
This all sounds like obedient “henchpersons” carrying out the “queer theory” subversion of normalcy that their professors planted in their empty heads. The trolling and destruction is the point. I don’t know what they think is going to happen once they run out of things to destroy. Consequences don’t occur to them.
