Reminds me of my undergraduate years at a small engineering school in the early 1980s. A class of about 125 students, of which maybe 15 were female. Of those 15, maybe two or three would have been considered "attractive" out at the local shopping mall, but on that little campus, all 15 got a LOT of attention; some had little "geek posses" following them around.

The tasks of selling to a group versus selling to an individual are very different. So, too, are the tasks of selling a one-off versus selling to a business. I'll try to write you about these differences; I'm running low on energy nowadays.

The study revealing the value of "because" is surprising, but it seems kind of encouraging to me. That people are morel likely to acquiesce if there is a reason makes humanity seem more reasonable.
