This is the power of anonymous reporting, IMO. You have to argue against the meat of the argument, not just against the person who wrote it. You can assume I'm the dumbest person alive (and I encourage it), but you STILL HAVE TO FACE WHAT THE EVIDENCE SHOWS!

It's hilarious that all the excuses they are using today will be completely useless when chapter two drops. Because make no mistake, this isn't just about Twitter and it's not just about Hunter's laptop -- every single media outlet is being pressured by government to violate the First Amendment rights of Americans ON EVERY SINGLE MAJOR STORY OF THE DAY.
I've noticed too that this is the new propaganda spin the Left hivemind has coughed up. After "PR for world's richest man" got played out the new line became: "dick pics".
This a pretty dishonest way to transform a story about 3 levels of corruption (Hunter cashing in on fam name, Twitter burying it, journalists cheering the burying) into something akin to revenge porn or empty prurience. Hunter is the real victim here!
It seems the larger truth (at least for me) is that Twitter plus Trump plus fighting the culture war for a living seems to have given a large portion of our journalist class some sort of Cluster B personality disorder.
The most frightening aspect of all of this isn't even the so-called journos participating in the ongoing fraud, it's the vast number of mindless drones who continually buy into the lies lock, stock, and barrel. Especially so the jacked in, social media-drenched younger generations to whom the concept of independent thought is unfathomable. Call me a cynic but I just don't see any path to redemption.

And yet, every single time I see Chuckles the Press Secretary doing PR for (arguably) the world's most powerful man (oops, I meant "puppet"), I hear the EXACT same criticisms in my head that the paid--and yet scooped--crowd of journalists now project on Matt Taibbi. Weird.
