The Best Worst Election Takes

I’m currently working on another post about the election, but I also thought it was worthwhile to collect and share with you the “best worst” reactions to Trump’s victory that I’ve come across, if only for posterity’s sake.
And I hate doing this, but on a separate note, I’ve been hemorrhaging paid subscribers lately and just wanted to humbly request your patronage. It is so appreciated.
And lastly, this grossly irresponsible video that The New York Times put out today in which the vanguard of America’s esteemed journalist class warns the newspaper’s overwhelmingly TDS-afflicted readership of all the very bad things that the incoming president might do during his second term, a rather transparent attempt to ignite another #Resistance-fueled “Trump bump” and catapult subscriber numbers back to the same record level that the Times enjoyed from 2016-2020.
I don't think I've seen anything this juicy since maybe when the Heaven's Gate cult woke up to discover that the flying saucer that was supposed to whisk them to their home planet had failed to appear.
What a rich and delicious buffet of psychopathology is on display! If only our professoriate weren't totally corrupt (as well as being in the cult themselves), how many books could they get out of dissecting the brains of our liberal clerisy?
The cognitive dissonance is just monumental—how come you didn't vote for us, you evil racist fascists! OR I'm a rich and famous lesbian immigrant trapped in a racist patriarchy! OR It's in your best interest to let us dictate to you what your best interests are! OR Our candidate wasn't a dunce, you're a dunce for not recognizing her obvious brilliance! OR We're the Party of female autonomy—unless you're a woman who voted against us! OR Latinos who don't believe in open borders must hate themselves! OR The candidate who no one voted for and who avoided almost every interview was the last hope to save democracy!
But at least the Heaven's Gate cult had the integrity to kill themselves when their prophecy fell flat, something tells me that the most the liberal clerisy can muster is more performative tantrums while turning up the NAZI! FASCIST! whines to 11.
Ahhh these past few days have been like sitting in front of the world's largest box of chocolates and trying to decide which one to eat next.
