If I had to sum up the Trump era in a quick phrase it'd be: The American ownership class (the oligarchic government-corporate-media-academia-technology-finance complex), in response to his election, has pursued a total Vietnam strategy and they are willing to destroy this village called America in order to save it (with "save" meaning restore it to the control of its rightful owners).
They have already discarded if not denounced the Bill of RIghts, jettisoned and demonized free thought, speech, expression, have weaponized the federal govt (especially the DOJ, FBI and CIA), concocted and encouraged multiple mass hysterias including the 2020 BLM riots and the bloody shirt of Jan 6, shielded their presidential candidate (and president) from any interviews and campaign questions, spy on and surveill their own citizens and then brazenly lie and attempt to socially destroy whoever calls them out.
And all this is made possible by an MSM that has totally transitioned into a unified state-media apparatus that exists to protect the current govt and ruling coalition at all costs, including what seems to be an entire generation of "journalists" willingly destroying their own credibility in order to become Thought Police.
I don't know where this leads or how it ends, but this decade is only going to get uglier.
I hope the Republicans step up during the next debate and even fucking mention the Jan 6 sentences being handed down, most people have no idea how dystopian the Dems and mute Republicans have made our legal system
