It doesn't surprise me in the least. No one watches that garbage except maybe podcasters and others who use it as material to dunk on. They just put on a show every day for empty lounges and lobbies and regurgitate whatever their corporate sponsors want said. People like Taylor Lorenz are just not independent minded enough to do anything without a corporate daddy who pays a pittance but has lawyers and a health plan. The legacy media will be kept on life support for a while longer, the elites will have to figure out how to squash any independent media or how to get them back onto the reservation.
The free press is elsewhere, on Youtube (or Rumble if you want to tell the truth about some things), on Substack, on Twitter and other sites.

But realistically, Brad you are also a filter in this and this may simply reflect your wishful hoping for improvement. Amount younger people of my acquaintance, the liberals that keep any sort of political radar are mostly disillusioned. Too many of them have a sheltered view of reality that leaves them unable to understand basic concepts. The millennials have brought into being a generation of mushrooms.

I have started a project to help here. That project is to refuse to hire people with a degree from any institution of higher learning known to be infected with the Theory/Woke virus. I am also providing free advisory services to my peer corporate CEOs for identifying job candidates with the sickness so to prevent their toxic presence from corrupting work cultures.
I think that is how we make progress in destroying the elite campus corruption of everything. If these snowflakes find their economic paths destroyed because their education credentials are not wanted, the institutions will have economic interests to start weeding out the Theory corrupt administrators and faculty.
This is a rational pursuit as CEOs across almost all industries are complaining about the productive-killing corruption of their work culture from the woke grievance ideology that derives from these broken learning institutions.
When I saw that Joy "Simple Jack" Reid thing on a podcast I thought at first that it's a fake but she later admitted to the slip up, apologizing for the profanity - not the content. I'm not sure if it's comforting that she doesn't believe the lies she tells for money or if it just makes it worse.
