Does this Russel Rickford still have a job? Are American taxpayers still paying for this self-confessed reprehensible human being? Is the American taxpayer still paying for this Chase Anderson to work out his own gender dysphoric hang ups by playing at being Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UCSF? Can we not at least stop paying these people to poison our civilisation?
This was the scariest quote of all. Chase Anderson should clearly not be around children, especially those who are likely more vulnerable. Or maybe that's a perk of the job. Even worse is the parents who are "allies" of these nutjobs, all to eager to sacrifice their kids to virtue signal.
Well, let's see. He's black - so maybe not untouchable, but basically untouchable if he semi-apologizes. But also, he was on narrative. He was just saying what all these people were feeling. Probably had no oxygen in his brain because of the giant erection that the slaughter of 1000 (1400 now?) Jews was giving him.
Rickford just ate the carpet with an abject apology. God, i'd hate to say it* but they seemed to have finally pissed off a group of donors who are taking this personally and have check writing capability. I'd take that as a W but those donors never stopped writing those checks until it got personal. All the other crazy shit that is going on at our universities was fine with them. this situation, at best, speaks more to their naivete then a moral statement. OTOH - Rickford's noble stance collapsed fast when it threatened his job. surprise.
*FTR - I am pro-Israeli. I have friends there as well as other sympathies for their cause.
I understand your point. However, I think you would have difficulty finding conservative politicians, professors and media members supporting mass murder, even if it was committed by a “group” that those on the right see as discriminated against.
Honestly, I think liberals have been presented with an opportunity to re-evaluate elements of the “coalition” they built to achieve electoral victory. They should take a hard look at what they’ve welcomed in, before it’s too late.
Instead, they either celebrate it or try to deflect. Don’t squander this chance. As Brad said, don’t flunk the morals test in order to win elections.
You may be right Heyjude, but my only real point was that Brad has a special talent for finding humorous quotes that illustrate the zeitgeist, a talent I haven't seen equalled by any commentators on the left. Not that I've looked very hard. That's all.
A more time consuming task than you might think. The terrorist sympathizers are grabbing the headlines, but I wonder how representative they are of the average Democrat. Most of my buddies are left-leaning Californians and there's nary a baby beheader among them. Of course my friends are older too, fifties or better, and baby killing skews young.
Probably but the point is that the laid back 50-something liberal may not think they have common cause with the pro baby killing crowd, they vote for the same people. Almost reflexively. Their voting seems to be a moral exercise that expressed thier virtue (I have personal experience here) that is completely disconnected from the result of the vote. (Example 1. Our cities.)
It looks to me a lot of people on the right are salivating over another war perhaps with Iran. Finally they don't have to pretend to regret the war on terror anymore.

Fun list! I'd like to read the liberal version of this kind of skewering but where's the left-wing Brad?

The left wing is busy demonstrating in favor of beheading Jewish babies.

Agree. The Democrats used to be liberal, and they attract voters who consider themselves liberal. The truth is that Democrats are now authoritarian.
yet they have retained the voters. comes down to two main reasons. 1. Abortion. 2. the other guy is Hitler.
I agree that both of these are issues they stress, but habit and belief that the party is still B liberal.
Weird, since Hitler would definitely be pro-Hamas. So if Dems are Pro-Hamas, then ipso facto they agree with Hitler. Might as well vote for him.
i could probably provide one skimming the chiron of Fox news the next time I go to the gym
