A great article Brad! So much dysfunction to catalog, I’m sure it was exhausting to write. In no way a criticism, but the public education system deserves a high place on the list. Maybe a topic for another post...
Thank you for your service, both in the military and as a voice for the principles of freedom.
Social Justice Inc. gives zero fucks about the history, credibility or stated mission of any institution, up to and including the military or the CDC (except as a cudgel for Karens to wield against Deplorables), and it certainly doesn't care about honesty or consistency, as they know they can swap narratives on the fly ("systemic racism" is the real pandemic! LOL) and have the entire MSM work as their Praetorian Guard and maybe 50% of the population eagerly assent and maybe another 25% who know to keep their mouths shut if they want to stay employed.
There is only one single simple goal and it is a goal shared by our entire oligarchic government-corporate-media-technology-finance complex, where there is (suddenly shockingly) not a molecule of difference between campus Marxists, Goldman Sachs, the Joint Chiefs of Staff to the DNC, the ACLU, UCLA, AMA etc:
The plan is to install and lock in a party-state a la the CCP, where there is no way to exist in a public capacity, no way to score a managerial or teaching or even municipal job, without pledging fealty and obedience to the Party and all its works and sacred narratives.
This is why they are desperate to control what we say, think and do and this is the great political battle of the 2020s.
agree but the question is what to do? On the negative side my thought is it needs to get worse before it gets better but that is scary. We have been here before, late 70's, and got out of it. But I do not see the willingness to do that now. The Lockdown was a gamechanger. they took the measure of the country and found it wanting and open for the exploitation you describe. We would never have allowed Carter to pull that shit.
actually i think we did. I was there for the 80's and there was a major bounce back. what we are seeing is the old liberal/progressive from the 60's playbook being re-enacted in our cities. In some ways this is inevitable cycle. the question is do we have what it takes to do what we did in the 80's?
Ah, but what about codifying a Negative trust rating....I trust the CDC a -100 to do the wrong thing, which is of course a directional pointer to the right thing, as long as you know it's opposite day all day every day. thanks for your posts best from OR
I love reading all of this; even though this much truth is disturbing to say the least.
Even though I have been aware of everything you talked about, having it in one essay to read is fascinating. I am impressed with how much work you do to put this information together for us.
God, you took me back in time where I relived the lies of Russia-gate and the very obvious need so many had to remove Trump from office. It is scary to see so many in government implement that kind of power,, and no one is held accountable, which has brought about another round of trumped up charges. From the beginning I thought if Hilary won there would be a confrontation with Russia which would be a carry over from our participation in a coup in Ukraine in 2014 under Obama. Merkel said the Minsk accords were a sham to allow Ukraine to build up a military force. I always thought had Hilary won the war in Ukraine would have happened under her watch, and that was the primary reason for removing Trump. We were on a neocon war footing through most of the 21st century, and Trump was in the way of that agenda. We now have several hundred thousand Ukrainians dead and no doubt we'll use up every last one of them. Millions and millions have already fled the country so it's hardly a country at all, but we'll drag it out to bring Russia to heel. Bad enough the main stream media spread their propaganda, but so many on the left bought into the lie of Russia-gate. I once heard Trump after a short meeting say to the press after most had left that wars were stupid. They kill millions of people, cost millions and millions of dollars and he said it with great destain. I really wonder if he wins will they let him take office?
We need to make new systems that we the people control, plugging them into the current systems through representatives willing to decentralize their leadership into citizens assemblies or swarms, then using new and improved and decentralized and transparent versions of Human Swarm Intelligence to govern.
If you never heard of swarming we implore everyone to read this and consider the implications for all of humanity:
Who lost their job because of George Floyd beyond a few police officers? (Cops are the business end of the social welfare state.)
Interesting to see trump ride through the poorest parts of Atlanta yesterday to cheers of "Free Trump!" that could be the ultimate wedge. i do not understand that no one points out that if George Floyd's death was such a terrible thing and an indictment on the racist justice system, which in many ways it is, why are all of the people who where in charge of the Minneapolis/Minnesota justice systems still pretty much all still in place, if not promoted? I would think it would be a powerful statement by Trump to say, "they were there when George Floyd died and are still in charge and they want to put me in jail? don't get fooled again!"
> i do not understand that no one points out that if George Floyd's death was such a terrible thing and an indictment on the racist justice system
Because the death of Saint Floyd of Fentanyl isn't, and one aspect of our dysfunction justice system is that Blacks are allowed to openly loot stores without consequences, while anyone attempting to stop them will get into trouble.
I think you make the error of assuming that this is black and white, pardon the unintentional pun. I believe that Geore floyd, or someone else was in for an unavoidable collision with our justice system. And how can it be looked at as anything as racist? The question is, who are the racists? Almost uniformly, our cities are massively corrupt one party entities that hold down an underclass in barely manageable poverty. With one hand the city hands out "benefits" while it utilizes the police to enforce the business end of their policies. The police unions have always supported the machines. the rank and file are not sons of the rich, they are from the working class and trying to preserve their status. They are being played by their superiors and are not adequately trained or supported to do the job they have. And when things go wrong, which is inevitable? Who gets thrown under the bus?
and after that, let the mob run loose for a while before getting back to "normal." This has happened before. Look what happened in Detroit in the 60's. Same as Minneapolis. Detroit never recovered, Minneapolis will not either. But the machine is doing just fine. The mayor and all the major players have their jobs just like before. the poor are locked into this. They are afraid to turn against it because they are afraid the will lose the subsistence handed out by the state. That's why i think Trump, a person I personally despise, has the potential to finally break this urban plantation model. He's a disruptor and persuader.
A truly amazing tour-de-force. I retain trust for. Gov Bill Lee of Tn, where I live. He earned it by pointing out that college is not for everyone. He also said, “My opponent is a good man”. In an election that had gone negative
have not read all of the way but there is one criticism of the republican party that is valid. This is a group of stupid and reactive people who essentially are republicans because, whether due to wit or circumstance, cannot run as Democrats.. They see that distrust as an issue to grab a hold of to use for their purposes. (and to be discarded as soon as possible.) They are not be trusted.

Behind in my reading, but well said as usual, and your penultimate paragraph reminds me a little of N.S. Lyons' "The China Convergence"...cheers!

Well, we've never fully recovered from the 70's.

But not quite to where we were in the 50's and 60's.
And ironically, they call us domestic terrorists because we 'undermine our institutions' when we simply report on what those institutions are doing.
Like, are we SUPPOSED to trust Fauci after we learn that he funded GOF research in Wuhan?
Ah, but what about codifying a Negative trust rating....I trust the CDC a -100 to do the wrong thing, which is of course a directional pointer to the right thing, as long as you know it's opposite day all day every day. thanks for your posts best from OR
Opposite Day, Groundhog Day. 5 more and we have every day covered
Holy fuck did you nail it all with this!

It's everyone else's fault we have been proven to be untrustworthy and incompetent! Same thing after every scandal.

I tell my European friends to expect a mass influx of American refugees within a few years. They always give me a blank look in return.
Probably not. All the indications I've heard suggest Europe is worse.
Great piece. Nailed it!
What is the road out of this mess?
Decentralization.
And most importantly SWARMING.
We need to make new systems that we the people control, plugging them into the current systems through representatives willing to decentralize their leadership into citizens assemblies or swarms, then using new and improved and decentralized and transparent versions of Human Swarm Intelligence to govern.

You need to understand the negro, assumed to be a democrat, gets a free pass in all things.
