Re: Walz cheering against the financial interests of his own constituents (via Tesla stock held in state funds)......

Tim hasn't often been described as being bright. A lot of other things, but rarely bright.

Tesla only exists because of pretentious wealthy proggies. Live by the proggies, die by the proggies.

Bud Light is a similar story. Had a huge market share from the not-remotely-woke, and the not-remotely-woke changed their minds.

That 29% approval rating on CNN comes from people who watch or spoke to a CNN poll. Nation wide, the Democrats very likely have much lower numbers. Here Brad shows us why.

Please all of you, read the City of Water article. It’s awesome! Thank you very much Brad! It reminded me a bit of my 10 years in construction relining the insides of cement kilns. But that was easy compared to this. One more thought; back in the 1920s as cities became megacities in this country, either Mechanics Illustrated or Popular Mechanics magazine had an opinion piece by an engineer reading that modern cities of scale were completely unsustainable. He cited water, power, waste & the need to continually bring in ever greater amounts of supplies into these cities. This follows the pattern of collapses of other civilizations before. Had the world listened to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Broadacre City proposal, many of modern society’s ills would be far less.

"And so undergirding this is a very dark idea that to be competent is to be a white man and to be a straight, heterosexual white man.” — NYT’s Mara Gay, during an appearance on MSNBC

I wonder if someone will be offended by Gay's use of the term "dark" to describe "white" cultural beliefs.

"a very dark idea that to be competent is to be a white man and to be a straight, heterosexual white man.”

This coming from the same people who think that black people need quotas, lowered standards, speech codes to protect their fragile feelings, that they should be given HS diplomas even if they can't read or do math (Oregon), that asking them to be punctual is "white supremacy", asking them to get voter IDs is "Jim Crow 2.0", and that "young Black kids...don’t even know what the word computer is" (Kathy Hochul).

The racialist Brahmin Left has created a pious faith out of tokenism, paternalism and the twin pillars of White Guilt//White Saviorism.

They are going to save the poor and brown-skinned, whether they like it or not!

I have been thinking for some time that the leftists make excuses for society’s losers because the leftists themselves have so much contempt for sub-elite people. One example is how they have tried to replace the word “gang” with “group.” As in, “Groups of young people gathered together to help and protect the people in their neighborhoods.” The white elitists don’t want to admit that the young hoodlums they are pretending to care about are actually gang members, because they regard gang members as worthless trash. But of course that makes them “racists,” which they undoubtedly are, and therefore evil. So then when anyone else makes a realistic comment about gang violence, the elitists shriek about that person’s “bigotry” to divert attention from their own racism and to destroy that part of themselves by proxy. Projection can be fun, I guess, and it certainly does confuse the third party whose relative lack of racism enables him or her to perceive and speak frankly about social pathologies in black communities.

yeah, something weird and warped has happened to this thing we call the "Left" ever since it jettisoned the working class and became a sort of one-stop shop to organize everyone w an antisocial grudge.

In the case of black people, i think in the Left dispensation they don't get to exist as flesh-and-blood fallible mammals like the rest of us, but become symbols and totem fetish objects whose entire purpose is to allow the aspiring savior to display how much more enlightened and compassionate they are than those OTHER white people over there, aka conservatives.

Thus, as w the example you mentioned, it's more important to worship and coddle them than it is to try to find solutions that might work in the real world to help them. Probably the best example of this is the absolutely moronic idea of Defund the Police, which ended up getting more black people killed but which served its ultimate purpose of allowing people who don't have to worry about crime to preen as white saviors.

Whille the apostles of white guilt might have protected and helped black people in the 20th century, here in the 21st they need to let them walk/run on their own and at last become subjects not objects.

Very weird indeed! I agree with your ideas about the exploitive evangelical attitudes and behaviors exhibited by the leftists. It is still so odd, not like other "movements" I've participated in during the Sixties, Seventies, Eighties and Nineties. I would say that our adversary is an authoritarian, decentralized, cultic movement, that is of an increasingly religious type. I would say that it is also a pathological movement with sadistic violent tendencies towards people "on the other side."

I find that if SJ is viewed through the prism of a religious cult, it becomes clearer and makes more sense. It is a sort of post-Christian post-Marxist therapeutic church for the many lost souls of the 21st century.

You can kill off organized religion, you can even kill off God, but you can never kill off all the social, spiritual, psychological etc needs that humans have and the ways they organize to get them met.

It feels sort of like if Patty Hearst's SLA or the Manson Family got as rich and popular as the Catholic Church.

"Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies.". - Sir Ernest Benn

..... never truer or better exemplified than with today's woke leadership/MSM. A combination of acting, derangement, desperation, greed, and political "expediency" must accompany, in varying degrees, pure stupidity in these characters, as they cannot all be as stupid as they appear. They are playing to their shrinking audience.
