Anne Applebaum, Eric Swalwell, Joy Behar, Jasmine Crockett, Jen Rubin, Sheldon Whitehouse, Sunny Hostin - that is an ALL STAR lineup of lunacy. Is this an example of the Left's deep bench we keep hearing about?

The incredible thing is that they have any audience. It is like we had some macro population mental breakdown and they captured those sick people as paying followers.

I think that's a pretty accurate assessment.

For sure. Equating free speech to the holocaust makes me think she works as an asset for another country.

Oh the gaslighting and story manipulation! Hitler's rise to power was because of free speech!

The left is trying everything they can (and all of this has been tried before) to discredit Trump and his agenda and his achievements. Unfortunately we have to hear these messages, but is anyone believing this tripe? I'm a pilot, so am going to focus on the "more plane crashes in Trump's first month in office." I laughed when they showed the Delta flight and claimed this was Trumps fault, as technically, that happened on Canadian soil. That specific crash will end up being pilot error. The crash in DC will also be blamed on pilot error. The helicopter was at the wrong altitude and stated twice they had visual separation and visual contact with the CRJ700. They were wrong. With respect to this being the president's fault, really people? Yeah, Trump was secretly controlling all of those planes remotely, like Gomez Addams with his train set. With respect to other incidents, the Alaska and Philadelphia tragedies will likely be found to be pilot error. (It's a pretty safe bet for me to say pilot error as almost all incidents unless it involves a boeing plane, JUST KIDDING! are pilot error. ). So blaming Trump for aging pilots being replaced by young pilots who have been trained in an anti-competence environment and for an overworked and understaffed air traffic control organization all after thirty days in office is misplaced at best. It's just like first time he was in office. In the opposition's eyes, there is nothing Trump does that is good.

Just as silly as blaming the plane crashes on Trump is all the hysteria over egg prices. Two weeks in office and egg prices have not come down! Such arguments are blatantly disingenuous.

Amongst the usual leftist crappola, Jen Rubin's sneering contempt, "now you'll notice the contradiction in terms, 'MAGA readers'", ....."What is the logical fallacy here? Yes,'reader'" stood out....I mean I kinda knew it, but just the level of gratuitous vitriol sometimes is an eye opener........

Elise Jordan has a typical Liberal Hypocrisy Meltdown revealing that the Biden Administration completely botched the Afghanistan retreat. That she sees it that way & always did. Then we have Newsweek proclaiming that an election in Ukraine might have the inconvenient consequence of their president being voted out. So admitting that elections have been suppressed in that country. Third strike; the NYT’s Ross Douthat admitting that Liberals say stupid things that come back to haunt them. Admitting loss of control by their own doing.

But before you rejoice & say all is better now in America, consider that massive Pigasaurus bloat of a budget coming from the supposedly fiscally conservative Republicans that will bloat our deficit by trillions more over the next tens years. If you need to see what an IMF takeover of an advanced economy looks like, then look at South Korea during 1997 to early 1999. If the IMF has to loan a country money, they set the terms & regulations concerning everything.

'“You understand, as a matter of biology, it’s just incorrect that there are only two sexes, right?” — U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes, posing the question to Justice Department lawyers during a hearing on Trump’s executive order calling for a ban on transgender troops joining the military'

The way this is presented makes the statement sound ludicrous. However, looking into it further, I actually became kind of fond of this judge https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2025/02/18/trump-order-banning-transgender-troops-military/78617284007/

First, as to the quoted statement, it could be argued both ways. The judge brought up examples of unusual chromosome combinations like XXX. The question should instead be whether those aberrations should be defined as different sexes or not, and, more practically, how non-stereotypical gender identifications or sexes, or whatever you want to call it, would actually have on the military in functional terms. Trying to shoehorn a very small percentage of outlier cases into the standard definitions might not be worth the trouble.

Many servicepeople, and some of the plaintiffs, are transgender people with many years of decorated military service. Might be worth looking into how they performed both before and after transitioning? Just to see if that made any made any difference either detrimental or beneficial?

I think one thing most people would confidently say is that the military should not have to pay for people's transition. A lot of the rest of it could be up for debate.

The trans debates are not about the minute fraction of people who have different chromosome structures. It’s always been about people who “identify” as the opposite sex from their biological sex.

Bringing up situations like the XXX genetic variation deflects from the true issue- should people who suffer from psychological issues be allowed to force society to indulge the sufferer’s beliefs?

Agree - but also agree with Tardigtade that the small % of outlier cases need to be be recognized and addressed. and addressed.

My response to "Trump’s idea of ‘competence’ — only white men need apply.”: Your magic spells no longer work. We ain't playing that game anymore. Anyone appointed by Trump will be counted as "honorary white male" by their side anyways. There is no point in engaging with this sort of thing. There is no need to mount an honest defense against a dishonest attack.
