I feel like a slave every year when I file my taxes. I wonder how London Lamar would feel about that.

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson confirms with this extraordinary comment what so many supposed (& probably some actual) racist have maintained about her. She is incompetent & tragically uninformed & just an Affirmative Action hire. Is that reparations enough to have another black American start to reinstitute slavery by taking away basic freedoms - shades of Anthony Johnson.

The Tablet article is interesting, living in Germany I find it odd that they somehow blame the "far right" party for the rise in antisemitism when most of the antisemitism was imported from Muslim countries - to be sure these people are also quite conservative in their views but not the typical voters for the anti-immigration parties. The latter part of the article mentions this. There are a few high profile cases of antisemitic neo-Nazis of course, but pretty much every country in Europe and the USA has a certain amount of neo Nazis (meaning people who say "damn right I am" instead of getting offended on being called Nazis).

Without the skinheads, hooligans and the few neo Nazis in suits the far right parties would get a lot more of the remaining conservative vote - as it stands they still have a very high "ick" factor due to the unsavory elements which are difficult to purge. In Germany a political party has to accept anyone who wants to be a member - Geert Wilders in the Netherlands doesn't have this problem with his party that doesn't have any other members. The conservatives in Germany suffer from the same problem traditional conservatives in other European countries suffer from: They don't want to be called names in the legacy media or on Twitter and therefore don't have many conservatives policies anymore, especially in immigration which is currently dividing many European countries. Having been in power and never implementing their agenda the voters are fed up. Look at the tories in the UK for another great example.

And the story of the Potsdam meeting is also quite interesting, there isn't any real proof and the journalists that reported the story are activists, the author has been known to invent or exaggerate stories. It's also quite possible that some of the people in the AfD party are working as informants, a prior attempt to ban the nationalist party NPD failed because of this - it turned out a lot of the party higher ups were informants for the government, seemingly in it for the money and stoking the far-right elements of the party. And any time the government (especially a deeply unpopular one) comes in trying to ban a party or stifle other dissent in other ways it will backfire - I often find myself defending these people even though I dislike them.

What never seems to occur to the politicians seeing their support disintegrate is just to make better policy and actually implement what the voters want.

Katie Porter is informing the American public that their next president will not be Trump. It’s likely that the wheels of assassination are already set in motion that she can make such a pronouncement. The Aristocrats publicly discussed creating a recession prior to Trump’s initial reelection bid in order to defeat him. With regard for all the business & lives destroyed in the subsequent process. However capable Trump is at what he does well, he continues to demonstrate ignorance about how politics works. He does not build deeper alliances that are necessary for political survival.
