“The axiomatic error undermining much of Western Civilization is ‘weak makes right’. If someone accepts, explicitly or implicitly, that the oppressed are always the good guys, then the natural conclusion is that the strong are the bad guys.” — Elon Musk”

Yes, the collective rooting for the underdog and opposition toward power seems a primitive tribal control for preventing tyranny. However, when the human status hierarchy pursuit supplants true productive merit with crap like Slutsky demonstrates, Huston, we have a big damn problem.

“Taking joy in antagonizing overly-sensitive people is not an admirable quality in an adult - I know, I know - but in an age of weaponized hypersensitivity, antagonizing those people is often indistinguishable from standing up to bullies.” — Darryl Cooper, host of the Martyr Made podcast.”

Oh yes. Saying this and doing this for years. Someone called them “crybullies”. Rob Henderson explains the dark triad personality disorder and ‘vulnerable narcissism’. Treating their sickness and absurdities with anything other than direct honesty just reinforces their sickness - only to keep the peace. That is what we have largely done in consideration of being civil, kind and also supportive of a 1A rights perspective… and look what it has brought us. Just know that they are not used to being treated like they deserve and will be nastier than you could ever imagine.

“Returning the frat bros to campus like re-introducing wolves to Yellowstone to restore the natural balance of the ecosystem. Kind of "environmentally friendly" in a way isn't it.

somebody needs to do a deep dive on the whole ‘Patriot Front’ issue. I feel it’s one of the most underreported stories in both mainstream and alt-media. nothing about the entire phenomenon seems remotely real. even if yer a normie reporter, wouldn’t you want to know more about a group of Neo-Nazi’s in costume parading around with flags and chants? considering the disparities between the demand and the actual supply of fascists in American, you would think the press would be all over uncovering and doxxing every single member. but even when they released over 40 names during the Coeur d’Alene arrests in 2022, I could only find about 4 of the names who seemed to be real people with SM profiles, job history etc. yet there is a media white out with every new march.

are they Feds? contractors for Feds? a weird non-profit or NGO? are they actually legit? I have no real clue other than the whole thing stinks.

Exactly. The mainstream media jumps at the opportunity to write about Jan. 6 protestors who've been caught by the FBI, while many on the left (they call themselves "sedition hunters") have made it their personal hobby to track these individuals down and "unmask" their identities. The total lack of curiosity about Patriot Front members suggests a worry about what might be discovered.

right? they hunt down the Jan 6th crowd with religious zeal yet when dozens of Patriot Fronts identities are released to the press absolutely nothing happens anywhere. it’s crazy. when I bring this up on Substack, the most common reply I get is “of course they are Feds, your so naive’. maybe that’s true, but regardless I feel there is an incredibly interesting story here that’s being overlooked no matter who they really are.

King-Slutzky is a PhD candidate whose dissertation is on “fantasies of limitless energy in the transatlantic Romantic imagination from 1760-1860.” She is “particularly interested in theories of the imagination and poetry as interpreted through a Marxian lens.”

Eventually, living in a fantasy, catches up with people.

What does Slutsky’s (surely a made up name) dissertation title even mean?

it means:

"I can vomit out the proper pseudopolitical pseudophilosophical jargon that signals i am qualified to be a an official member of the guild of postmodern philosopher-kings dedicated to bringing about 'socialist liberation', now please give me my official guild certification so i can proceed from sitting in classes at our madrassa to teaching classes at our madrassa."

The Revolution will be certified.

I had not heard about the UNC Chapel Hill frat bros until this piece. Thank you for highlighting it!

“The NFL draft is a lot like a slave auction, except the slaves aren’t working for free.”

Now I might not have a fancy degree from a fancy institution of book learning but I thought that was one of the main objections people had to slavery. Not getting paid and not being able to quit. I really feel for all those poor NFL players who can't pursue a career in other lucrative fields with their unique skills.

The Good: Wesley Yang "meme into existence new categories of the oppressed" and Rob Henderson "half-speed Chinese style cultural revolution. The Bad: the vaguely weaselish Pfizer dude. The Ugly: but of course the hysterically incomprehensible Slutzky chick.

Very nice. Really enjoyed the Nellie Bowles article, but I'm biased because I love TGIF.

That piece could use a better title. It's about the self-hatred and self-flagellation amongst liberal white women that the writer, Nellie Bowles, witnessed at anti-racism workshops.

I still laugh at the top comment on Taibbi's write up on the AWFL who took over NPR: "I never thought I'd be so lucky to be a gay man" (something like that)
